08/03/26	Definitely didn't stay up until 00:15 just to make another entry Either way, yesterday I did quite a lot. I found an error with the footer on this page, which turned out to be because I had an extra /div tag, it might have been from when I tried making this log a scrollable table. So that took me around 30 minutes to figure out. In other news, I also have spent a lot of today faffing around with learning how to upload custom fonts to Neocities, in order for my website to actually look correct on most devices. That was a nightmare. Because browser-loaded fonts work differently to OS-loaded fonts, I had a lot to mess around with to make all the text look correct. Which took ages, but it's done now and if it weren't for this sitelog, you'd have no idea I spent about 2-3 hours losing my mind trying to fix it.
07/03/26	Writing this at 00:18 so I'd better get some rest soon. What I said last time is kinda just not true anymore, I'm trying to upload this website to Neocities as it is right now and am heavily considering using image buttons for my navbar, given Neocities refreshing makes the text flash blue because it's a hyperlink. Image buttons would negate that so that's my reasoning. Only issue is I might not be able to make them change on hover, but I can try to find a way. I like the flashing buttons, but maybe it is best kept to the home button. Means less visual clutter when moving the cursor around.
04/03/26	Alright so I got back to coding and I finally made an image button on the Rambling page that actually leads to THIS page so you can access it. It's a pretty simple image and I tried to get it to change colour when hovering, but all my attempts just went poorly so you're stuck with unchanging hovering, which will probably feel a little out of place given the rest of the site has changing buttons on hover. Oh well. When I actually get some of my art on the Creations page and actually made the Links and Sitemap pages, I will finally look to hosting this on Neocities.
27/02/26	What's up fellas I got sick for like a week and couldn't be bothered to code anything so there are like NO new additions to the website other than a few minor changes to the About page that I made just now. I intend to continue this site, just need to juggle everything else in life and find my interest in coding once again because MAN this stuff is not my forte. But I've got most of the ground work for the website done, so making additions shouldn't be too difficult.
10/02/26	MY FIRST LOG WRITTEN DIRECTLY IN THIS PAGE'S CODE!!! So yeah, I've done a decent bit today. Most of this code is just copied over from other pages honestly, but hey that code works so no need to re-write it. I'm working on my "Rambling" page, of which this will eventually be a part. And of course I set this up too, still unsure whether I want this to be one long page or use an overflow scrolling feature, we'll see. Leaning towards one long page because that's quite rudimentary and I like the rigidity of it.
09/02/26	So yesterday I did a singular thing - changed the logo/home button to look exactly the same but function better. Yay. Alright it's 00:30 I should really write these logs on the day I did them and not stupid o'clock in the next morning I'm heading to bed. Holy shit I'm actually writing this before midnight (22:48), crazy. SO what I've done today is try and make a site stamp but sucked absolute arse at doing it so I'll have to ask my friend how to make one, I simply can't figure it out. I've also given the background a little more colour, I felt it was far too grey still. Started work on my "Creations" page too, that's a WIP. Thinking of doing image buttons like my friend's site because they're really cool and my friend inspires me in A LOT of ways.
08/02/26	WRITING THIS AT 01:12 IN THE MORNING Sorted out the text on my home page as well as putting together my “About” page, complete with a table of my interests. Will look to put together a site stamp at some point, but I've got other stuff to do later today so MAAAYBBBEEEE I'll do that another day.
07/02/26	Guess who made a new font. It's a little small, but it works well and looks quite nice. I'll be using this for the buttons and maybe a few extra bits here and there, not absolutely sure at the moment. This is all a bit wishy-washy. Not sure how to add it to Neocities though, but I'll figure that out when I get round to hosting this blasted thing. Right now my aim is to fix the background to both be a repeating texture and also a blue-grey instead of stock grey. Fixed the button centring, that was annoyingly off.
06/02/26	Found a website on Neocities (https://secretgarden.neocities.org/) which functions in the way I want the Equistrum website to function. I have been inspecting their code, figuring out how it works and basing my website off of that. Surprised it actually works, I will continue adding. Also been working on a font for this website, inspired by Germanic runes and in the same style as my logo (also inspired by Germanic runes). Want to get that finished to use as my button font before I get started on other website bits.
05/02/26	Begun trying to revamp my previous website attempt. There was WAY too much existing code to try and mess around with, so I have resorted to starting from scratch and going back to a basic kind of layout with headers, navbars, sections etc. I can't seem to get the title to centre properly when zooming in, which is what I want. I don't want dynamic content resizing, that'll just make be annoying.
